Entrevista Angeles - Ivette Foster

What nobody tells you about Active Education: Conversations that transform

What does practicing active education on a day-to-day basis really mean? Those of us who are part of Mayrit know that behind every prepared environment, every assembly, and every moment of autonomous learning, there is a deep, intentional, and constant gaze toward childhood. However, outside the school walls, doubts, myths, or incomplete visions about what this pedagogical model entails sometimes arise.

That is why we are so thrilled to share the interview that Ivette Foster conducted with our Pedagogical Director, Ángeles.

In addition to being a professor at the Francisco de Vitoria University, Ivette has a solid background in accompanying families and educators through Gestalt Therapy. She is someone who, just like us, firmly believes in the importance of discovering one’s own resources, embracing the uniqueness of each person, and educating from a place of authenticity.

In this talk, titled “Mayrit School: What Nobody Tells You About Active Education!!!”, necessary questions and honest answers find their way. Ángeles and Ivette dialogue about things that are rarely told: the complexities, the joys, the boundaries that sustain freedom, and how a true learning community is built—one where both children and adults feel integrated.

We invite you to find a moment of calm, brew yourself a cup of tea, and immerse yourself in this very special encounter.
