At Mayrit School, we firmly believe that what matters most in the day-to-day life of an educational center cannot be captured by a single grade or a traditional academic report. Emotional well-being, community building, respect for individual learning paces, genuine inclusion, and positive social interaction are the true pillars of meaningful education.
That is why we are thrilled to share with our entire community that we have been selected to join the network of the “100 Impact Schools in Spain,” a national initiative led by the EducaAcción Foundation.
What does this initiative involve?
The program aims to equip schools with a platform and a rigorous methodology—adapted from ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards for the educational context—to accurately measure those “invisible” factors that define a school’s true identity.
Through the ESGrade® digital tool, we will conduct a comprehensive diagnostic by cross-referencing insights from all four key voices in our community: leadership, teaching staff, students, and families. This analysis will provide a clear, transparent baseline and serve as our guide to crafting a tailored Improvement Plan.
A vision beyond our classrooms
Participating in this project not only helps us continuously improve the educational experience within Mayrit, but it also aligns with a core value we have always held: sharing our educational perspective so it can benefit more children across Spain.
Furthermore, the initiative spearheaded by the EducaAcción Foundation has far-reaching international ambition: the proposal aims for these holistic standards of educational quality to be integrated into PISA reports starting in 2030—a vision recently presented at the UN General Assembly.
A collaborative and transparent journey
This journey begins with active listening. Over the coming weeks, our educational community will participate in an initial diagnostic through confidential surveys. Guided by these insights and supported by the foundation’s team of experts, we will select our next improvement goal for the year, seamlessly building upon our ongoing self-assessment efforts.
