Admissions: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
From 3 to 12 years old.
While our admissions process is open year-round, places usually fill up well in advance. We recommend requesting an interview between January and April to secure a spot for September.
This depends on each age group. We recommend contacting us directly via the form so we can provide an up-to-date answer regarding immediate availability.
We will provide you with the full list during the interview, including the reservation form and the pedagogical agreement.
The personalized interview with our Director is the ideal first step, as it includes a tour of the environments. This allows you to see the project in action while we address your specific questions.
Of course! In fact, we prefer it. At Mayrit, the child is at the center, and we believe the best way to know if this is the right place for them is by seeing them interact with the space and materials. Observing how they engage with our environments will provide you with invaluable insight as a family and allow us to get to know all of you in an authentic way.
Yes, Mayrit is an accredited center by NEASC and authorized by the Community of Madrid as a Foreign School. This guarantees that the education received is valid and official for all intents and purposes.
We do not believe in rigid transitions. We respect the individual pace of each family and child, allowing for close support until the little one feels secure and confident in their new environment.
At Mayrit, mixed-age groups (3–6 years in Early Childhood and 6–12 in Primary) are one of our greatest strengths. This allows younger children to learn from older ones, while older students reinforce their knowledge and empathy by helping the younger ones. This creates an organic and real learning community, much like life outside of school.
As we are a self-managed project with very low student-to-teacher ratios, costs may vary depending on services (such as lunch or extended hours). We will provide you with a detailed and up-to-date tuition dossier during your personalized interview.
Yes, an initial enrollment fee is required to secure a place. This investment ensures the sustainability of the project and reflects the commitment of our community.
